Assistant Chief Falvo joined the Schenectady Police Department in January, 1980. During his 25 year career he has risen through the ranks starting his career as a Patrolman to his current position as Assistant Chief of Police.
While holding these various ranks, Assistant Chief Falvo was responsible for the following assignments:
• Acting Chief of Police (2002)
• Assistant Chief-Field Services Bureau, Administrative Services Bureau, and
  Investigative Services Bureau
• Public Information Officer
• Detective Lieutenant Investigative Services Bureau
• Detective Lieutenant Office of Professional Standards
• Lieutenant, Parking and Traffic Division
• Lieutenant, Field Services Bureau
• Commander, Special Operations Squad (SWAT)
Assistant Chief Falvo’s education includes a Bachelor’s Degree in Criminal Justice and a Master’s Degree in Public Administration. He is also a graduate of the Federal Bureau of Investigation’s Nation Academy, session 219.
