The Belgian Malinois (Mal-in-wah) is a medium size dog of exceptional working ability used for many purposes. The Malinois is a lighter, quicker more agile dog known as a "High Energy" dog.

K-9 Cinta was born August 19, 2003 and began working for the City of Schenectady NY on November 1st, 2004 with Patrolwomen H. Reedy as her handler.

K9 Cinta is trained in narcotics detection, tracking, building searches and criminal apprehension.
