NEIGHBORHOOD WATCH

Schenectady's Neighborhood Watch was formed in the late '70s, with an initial seven members, working under the direction of Schenectady Police Sergeant Raymond Wemple.

"See it-Hear it-Report it"

Today, with nearly two hundred members, the Watch holds meetings in many of Schenectady's neighborhoods, maintains regular patrols and provides information about suspicious activities to the police. The following is a list of monthly meetings of the Schenectady Neighborhood Watch. All are invited to attend.

One service, Child Find, is credited with saving the lives of a number of small children and adults in need of care, and is called several times a month to help police with urgent searches.

The group provides security for area events and for supervised parent/child visits at the Law Order and Justice Center.

The Neighborhood Watch works under the auspices of the Police Department of the City of Schenectady.

To learn more, you may call Lieutenant Brian Barnes at 377-4137 or you may call Fred Lee at 505-8912.

To Join the Neighborhood Watch fill out this form and send to location specified on form.
