SUBJECT:Stabbing of Taxi Cab Driver

The Schenectady Police Department is investigating a stabbing of a taxi cab driver that occurred in the area of Eastern Ave and Nott Terrace. The victim called 911 at 1852 hours, this date, and reported that he had been stabbed and was in the area of Liberty St, within the City of Schenectady. The victim was located a short time later near the Schenectady County Library, located at the corner of Liberty and Clinton. The victim was treated on scene by members of the Schenectady Fire Department and airlifted to Albany Med. The extent of the victimís injuries is not known at this time. The victimís identity will not be released at this time. The victim operated a cab for Glove City Taxis.
The suspect is described as a black female, last seen wearing dark clothing. The suspect is still at large and no arrests have been made in connection with this crime. The taxi cab that was being operated by the victim was located a few blocks from the scene of the incident.
