SUBJECT:PEDESTRIAN STRUCK BY CAR CRITICALLY INJURED
A 59-year-old Schenectady man was critically injured Saturday night after being struck by a car on State Street.
The man was crossing State Street near Lorraine Avenue at about 9 p.m. when he was hit by a Dodge sedan traveling east on State. The man sustained several injuries and was airlifted to Albany Medical Center. He is currently in critical condition.
The accident is being investigated. Anyone who may have witnessed the accident is asked to call 382-5263.
The names of the victim and the 59-year-old driver of the car are not being released at this time.
