SUBJECT:MAN SHOT AT ALBANY STREET & KELTON AVENUE

Detectives are investigating the shooting of a 22-year-old Schenectady man that occurred at the intersection of Albany Street and Kelton Avenue at about 11:25 Friday night.

Carl Henley was walking with 2 friends when they were approached by 3 men who started yelling at them. One of the men pulled out a handgun and fired several shots, striking Henley in the groin and back. The group then ran from the scene.

Henley was driven by private vehicle to St. Clare’s Hospital prior to police arriving at the scene. He was subsequently transferred to Albany Medical Center where he is currently in stable condition.

At this time, it is not known what precipitated the confrontation.

The shooter is described as a black male, approximately 5’7”, 165 pounds, black braided hair. He was wearing a red and white striped shirt and blue jeans.
