Detectives are investigating 2 robberies that occurred late this afternoon and early this evening.

The first robbery occurred at about 4:10 p.m. at the Ride Aid pharmacy at the corner of State Street and Brandywine Avenue.

A black male entered the store and handed a clerk a note demanding money. A gun was implied, but none was displayed. The clerk complied with the man’s demand and gave him an amount of money that is not being disclosed. The robber then ran from the store in an unknown direction. The clerk was not injured.

The suspect is described as being dark-skinned and 6’3” tall. He was wearing a black hooded sweatshirt and glasses.

The second robbery occurred at about 6:15 p.m. at 313 Victory Avenue. A deliveryman from Nico’s Pizza was making a delivery to that residence that appears to have been a “set-up” when several men wearing masks hit him over the head, threatened him with a gun and dragged him into the vacant apartment at that address. While inside the apartment, they stole his pants that contained money. The suspects fled after the robbery. The deliveryman was not injured.
