SUBJECT:ABDUCTION INVESTIGATION CONTINUING
Detectives continue to investigate the reported abduction of a 22-year-old Schenectady woman that occurred on Duane Avenue at about 7:00 Friday evening. The woman was able to escape unharmed.
The woman stated that she was walking by herself on Duane Avenue near Brandywine Avenue when a gold sport utility vehicle pulled up alongside her and stopped. The black male driver got out, grabbed her and pulled her into his vehicle. The man told her he was going to make her his sex slave. He drove south on Brandywine Avenue and attempted to get onto I-890 eastbound. However, the woman grabbed the steering wheel and forced the vehicle to travel south on Michigan Avenue. The man then turned onto Schuyler Street where the woman opened the door, jumped out of the vehicle and ran to a house for help. The vehicle fled south on Pennsylvania Avenue.
The abductor is described as a light-skinned black or Hispanic male, about 30-years-old, 5’8” tall with a heavy build, and he had a mustache. He was wearing glasses, black coat and blue jeans.
