Members of the Department’s Vice Squad and Special Operations Squad executed a search warrant at 1829 Broad Street early yesterday morning that resulted in the arrests of the 2 residents and the seizure of 2 stolen handguns, drugs and cash.

During the 6 a.m. raid, detectives recovered a loaded revolver stolen from Georgia and a semi-automatic handgun stolen from Fonda. They also found more than 45 grams of heroin and $344 cash.

Jevon Henry, 24, is charged with the felonies of Criminal Sale of a Controlled Substance-3rd degree (CSCS) and Criminal Possession of a Controlled Substance-3rd degree (CPCS), and the misdemeanor of CPCS-7th degree for selling heroin on 3 occasions in 2005. As a result of yesterday’s raid, Henry is also charged with CPCS-3rd, as well as the felonies of Criminal Possession of a Weapon-3rd and Criminal Possession of Stolen Property-4th.

Sarria Soto, 26, has been charged by the Schenectady County Department of Social Services with the felonies of Offering a False Instrument for Filing-1st degree and Welfare Fraud-4th, and the misdemeanor of Welfare Fraud-5th. In August 2005, Soto submitted an application for food stamps in which she failed to report ownership of 5 motor vehicles and income from the illegal sale of a controlled substance that resulted in her receiving more than $3,000 in benefits.

Both Henry and Soto were arraigned Friday in Police Court and remanded to the Schenectady County Jail.
