SUBJECT:2 CHILDREN REPORT ABDUCTION ATTEMPT

A brother and sister walking home from a State Street store at about 4:30 this afternoon have reported that 2 men in a vehicle tried to abduct them.

An older model brown car with 2 men inside pulled up to the 13-year-old boy and 11-year-old girl near the Dollar General store at State Street and Fehr Avenue. The men initially asked the children for directions then said they had a gun and threatened to shoot the children if they did not get into the car. A man who knows the children was walking by at the time and witnessed the incident. As he approached, the vehicle drove away and traveled westbound on State Street. The man then walked the children home.
