Six Schenectady men were arrested today as a result of an investigation of a 14-year-old runaway who was forced into prostitution.

The investigation began in January after the victim reported being raped in Schenectady after running away from a Saratoga County group home. During the investigation, the victim revealed that she met a man who forced her into prostitution, but she didn’t identify him until recently.

David Tittensor, 33, of 1057 Forest Road, reportedly forced the girl into prostitution and is charged with the felonies of Promoting Prostitution-2nd degree and Rape-2nd, as well as the misdemeanor of Endangering the Welfare of a Child.

The following men were also identified as having sex with the girl and are charged with the felony of Rape-2nd, as well as the misdemeanors of Patronizing a Prostitute and Endangering the Welfare of a Child:

* Jack Felthousen, 28, of 1825 Van Vranken Avenue
* Richard Guyton, 36, of A12 Yates Village
* Jason Rinaldi, 27, of 52 North Jay Street
* Charles Walsh, 23, of 1827 Van Vranken Avenue
* Gilbert West, 29, of 2450 Van Vranken Avenue

The investigation is continuing. Assisting detectives are the Special Victims Unit of the Schenectady County District Attorney’s Office, Schenectady County Rape Crisis, and the Schenectady County Department of Social Services.
