SUBJECT:VANDALISM SPREE BEING INVESTIGATED
A vandalism spree in the neighborhood surrounding Schenectady High School has resulted in numerous vehicle tires being punctured and building windows being smashed.
The incidents occurred today and Tuesday during the early morning hours. On Tuesday morning, tires were punctured on 3 vehicles parked on Baker Avenue. This morning, 21 vehicles parked along Parkwood Boulevard and East Alley had their tires punctured. In addition, windows were smashed at Schenectady High, Nino’s Hair Styling salon at 1316 Nott Street and the Stewart’s at 1229 Nott.
Residents are requested to keep bright outside lights on during hours of darkness, and to call police if they see or hear anything suspicious, including barking dogs.
