SUBJECT:Bank Robbery

At 11:46 a.m. police responded to a bank robbery at eh First Niagara Bank 251 State Street. A suspect entered the bank, there was the threat of a weapon and an undetermined amount of cash was taken. No one was injured.

The suspect fled the bank and at 11:54 a.m. Patrol Units located a male fitting the description and he was taken into custody.

The suspect Carlton Lee Leffingwell, age 38, was arrested and has been charged with Robbery 1st. The suspect is currently being held at the Schenectady Police Department pending his arraignment in the morning.
