Mayor Albert P. Jurczynski has declared a snow emergency for the City of Schenectady effective 8:00 PM tonight. Snow emergency parking restrictions will last until the emergency ends.

Effective 8:00 PM tonight, all normal and priority street parking restrictions will be suspended. All vehicles must be parked on the even-numbered side of the street, with the following exceptions:

1. If parking is already restricted on both sides of the street
2. If parking correctly would create a hazard
3. If parking correctly would defy a temporary posting

Effective 8:00 PM Monday night, December 15, 2003, all vehicles must be moved to the odd-numbered side of the street, subject to the same above-listed exceptions. The even/odd rotation will continue until the Mayor ends the snow emergency.

Residents who have access to off-street parking are encouraged to use it. For those who donít, the Mayor has made the Broadway parking garage available during the snow emergency.
